Google and Comcast search for common ground: unhappy with search deal

Comcast is reportedly very unhappy with its current partner, Google, and has stated that they will review their partnership when the contract ends at the end of this year. The issue at hand is the classic discussion of Rev-Share, most large media companies can command a high revenue share from Google, and Comcast thinks they should be getting more. Currently Comcast reports that they make around $70 million through this deal but they would like that figure to bump up to $100 million. Comcast receives about 15 million visitors per month and is one of Google’s largest providers of traffic and largest provider of search-queries.

Talks between Comcast and Microsoft have already started, showing Google that Comcast means business. This should be interesting to see how it plays out over the next year.
